What is a Spiritual Development Researcher?

A Spiritual Development Researcher is one who seeks knowledge of the inner workings, spirituality, and metaphysics of developing one’s spirit, assisting them with moving closer to their soul’s purpose and expression. This includes the study of traditional and transpersonal psychology, metaphysical science, ancient and biblical text, and techniques that strengthen and draw one closer to their spiritual core such as prayer and meditation.

I started to become intrigued by the women I’d see online that had unconventional career titles. I came across a YouTuber who tags herself as a “Toxic Job Survivor,” one that titles herself a “Feminine Leadership Strategist,” and others. Not typical career titles, but self-made ones highlighting their expertise and true nature of their service to humanity.

One day I decided to come up with one that spoke to my spirit and the actual work I’d be doing in the world—a Spiritual Development Researcher, seeking the nature of spirituality and being and how one could work towards their fullest potential and expression. When I gain my Doctorate in Metaphysical Science and PhD in Bible Interpretation, this will change into a Spiritual Development Doctor.

My biggest case study has been me—a woman who suffered from years of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem restricting my ability to feel safe within myself and excel in my career and relationships. It came to a point where I yearned to express my true self again and wasn’t sure how. This led me to a life of self-REdiscovery, or soul searching, and healing.

When I found that traditional therapy didn’t work for me, I decided to take my healing into my own hands with self-reflection, self-exploration, shadow work, and spiritual integration of my “light” and “dark” sides.

Spiritual development is a life-long, continuous process and we should never cease to continue growing and expanding. While this can take place over many lifetimes, why not get started now?
