Manifesting With Audacity: Choosing to No Longer Struggle and Strive

Introduction
In my blog “My Life Is Falling Apart—And I Love It: The Power of Surrender,” I talked about experiencing work fatigue and deciding that the 9-to-5 grind was no longer for me. In fact, it was never for me. I grew exhausted of the work rigamarole and took matters into my own mind to make a change.
Manifestation starts with an idea—an idea of the life, thing, or situation you truly desire. And you must be prepared to rid the old idea of what your life should look like, especially when it no longer aligns.
Manifesting With Audacity? Having the Boldness to Want More
You have to be “tired of being sick and tired” like Kimberly Elise in The Diary of a Mad Black Woman. It’s a real thing. Think of when you’ve grown completely expended of a situation, person, or whatever else. You refused to tolerate it and decided it was time for a change. You probably felt a burning desire—maybe anger or extreme frustration. Whatever the feeling was, it was a feeling you couldn’t ignore.
These same emotions shift worlds. When you are finally tired of your current condition, you must have the gumption to say, “Enough is enough.”
We’ve grown accustomed to accepting the bare minimum and telling ourselves we have to deal with life the way it is. In the same breath, we’ll gripe and complain about how things should be different. The thing is—it can be different. It starts with you.
If you grew up religious, you were likely taught to remain humble and wait for God, Jesus, or a higher power to save you or change your circumstances. This turns into complacency or a resentment for life. Because while you are waiting, this God-power—that is also within—is waiting for you.

Stop Glorifying the Grind and Live the Life of Your Dreams
The struggle grew extremely old for me. What was the struggle? Getting up going to jobs I hated for 40+ hours, wearing my mental. There was no job I loved or could love enough to sacrifice such an amount of time to another corporate entity—no matter the pay.
Barely having time to recoup and focus on my spiritual development had me feeling more chained to the system. The jobs seemed to own all my time, even outside of working hours.
Over time, I realized I didn’t mind working, but I needed control—over when and how I worked. The constant push against my body and mind just to make a dollar would have to come to an end.
Once I decided that I was truly tired of my work circumstance, I had the audacity to say, “I’m not doing this anymore”—and I meant it.
I picked up a new idea—that I could and would need to work in sync with my own rhythm—not someone else’s. As I held this idea boldly, things in my world shifted. I stopped working my full-time job, was guided to move to another city, and began working contract jobs. Later, I found one where I could choose the days and shifts I worked.
By the grace of God and my inner certainty, I saw the seeds I planted begin to bloom.
I didn’t continue to tell myself that I “had to do what I had to do.” I didn’t continue to “push through” things that no longer served me or my spirit. I did the bold thing and stopped feeding the ideas that no longer resonated with me. And this is necessary if you truly want something new.
Life doesn’t have to be a struggle. Yet we’ve been convinced that struggle is just life. No, it isn’t. We are meant to live the life of our dreams. Dreams turned to reality. Life is only a nightmare by choice.
