No One Can Take Your Destiny Unless You Allow Them: My Take on Destiny Swapping

I’m seeing the idea of “destiny swapping” growing more popular and going viral in these YouTube streets and social media. Quite frankly, I see it as more of a Disney fairytale idea than something that can practically and mechanically happen, unless one gives permission for this to take place in some way, shape, or form.
I do agree that someone can achieve what you merely talked about but didn’t be about. Stealing and implementing ideas of others is not a new notion and has been happening since the beginning of time. In a way, this would be something you indirectly agreed to by not following through with your dreams, goals, or ideas, giving them all away to that person who was taking mental notes and taking action behind the scenes while you were not. This is why they always say “move in silence.”
Even if someone implements something(s) you intended to, I don’t see this as an end to the other person's destiny or that it’s now completely changed. For this to be so would be you saying it’s so.
Nothing can be taken or swapped unless there is an agreement. To swap is to barter or exchange. You can see this in simple things such as talking or exchanging conversation, swapping words and ideas. When words are exchanged, there is an agreement. When money is traded for a service, there’s an agreement. For someone to “take your destiny,” you’ve given it up and settled for that.
Even the bible has a story about twin brothers, Jacob and Esau, exchanging destinies. Rather, Esau gave his up to his brother. This story is told in Genesis 25:31-33. Jacob requested Esau’s birthright, or destiny. Esau agreed, and so it was. As this story shows us, for someone to “swap” or take your destiny would require your permission in some way.
I was recently watching one of my favorite YouTubers old live streams about destiny swapping and how she believed hers was “stolen.” She talked about how she’d talk to other YouTube streamers about ideas for her channel. She allowed them in, probably a bit too close to her and her craft and started noticing those women starting to apply her ideas into their own videos. Consequentially, those streamers started gaining thousands of followers from the ideas she shared with them. She felt those followers would have been hers if she was more protective of her plans.
Your destiny is yours and yours only, and your responsibility. You don’t want to talk too much about what you plan to accomplish and achieve in your life. You’re to protect these things like you’d protect anything else you care about. Or you’re liable to give it away, whether purposely or not.
Someone stealing and applying your ideas or doing what you always aspired to is not the end all, be all, or mean that you cannot achieve what you always planned to. Keep quiet, change your strategies, and get back up and implement. It’s only done when you say it’s done.
