Social media algorithms are probably the biggest challenge in my writing, content creation, and entrepreneur journey. The challenge of getting views, creating content to support the algorithm, gaining followers, and all the other things creators have to worry about don’t seem to elude me. I sometimes concern myself with wondering if my content will truly circulate, be seen, appreciated, and valued. I worry about the numbers. If I’ll ever go viral. If I’ll be successful in getting my work and messages out there.
But I decided to take a new attitude about my journey in entrepreneurship, creativity and content—that being on God’s algorithm instead of social media’s will land me and my work in the right place at the right time. It will grant me the right following at the right time. It will fall on the right eyes or in the right hands exactly when it’s supposed to. This will make my numbers and analytics their most authentic. At the right time, that certain post may go viral exactly when it needs to. Maybe a particular group of people will need to see it. Maybe the one person who needed the specific message will decide to share it which will in return double, triple.
Being on God’s algorithm is being in your own personal rhythm—in business and in life. I’ve had to learn patience and understanding on my spiritual journey which bleeds into my journey in entrepreneurship. I had to realize my pace was not the next person’s, as hard as it can be.
It can be hard to “keep up with the Joneses” in the social media world but understand WHY you’re actually doing what you’re doing to keep you going.
